Our journey started with our founder, then a very young and visionary entrepreneur, late Alhaz Saru Meah Sawdagar setting up his own small firm in year 1957, trading in jute sacks.

At that time jute was the only export oriented product in Bangladesh ( Then East Pakistan ) which was also known as "Golden Fiber".

Late Alhaz Saru Meah Sawdagar was a man of unmatched honesty and unparalleled business acumen.

Over the following decades that small firm transformed into a major business house engaged in trading of jute, chemicals, steel, coal, coconut oil, soybean oil, rice, wheat and various other commodity products and manufacturing of soaps, detergents, jute fabrics, sacks, shrimp fry, aluminum ingots, salt, sodium silicate, potassium silicate.

SilicaSolution started its operation on 2014 as an extended concern of Rupam Soap and Chemical Industries Ltd.

Rupam Soap and Chemical Industries Ltd. is a leading manufacturer of Laundry Soap for over 40 years. It has acquired Crystal Chemical Industries Ltd., one of the pioneering and major producers of Silicate in Bangladesh as backward linkage. Crystal Chemical Industries Ltd. mainly served Soap and Adhesive industries.

In recent years massive economic growth in Bangladesh coupled with new specialty industries,increased the demand for specialized and customized silicate, which led to formation of super specialty producer Silicasolution to serve the industry better.

Since 2014 SilicaSolution’s specialized and customized Sodium and Potassium Silicate has been serving industries like detergent, toiletries, welding electrode, paper, textile, water treatment, grouting, soil treatment, concrete and drilling.
